Solar for your home

Ready to invest in solar for your home?

If you've made it here, we probably don't have to tell you why it's smart to invest in solar for your home. Whether you are looking to be energy independent, cut your carbon impact, or save money over time, we'd love to be your trusted solar power guide and project manager. Our residential team specializes in managing home solar projects from start to finish.

When you work with Commercial Solar Guy, we will start by designing a custom solar power system and a financial model for your home. We’ll take you through a thorough review of your hardware options, and we'll create a realistic time table to deliver the project.

Next, we'll take care of purchasing your hardware, and submitting permits for construction. Finally, we’ll build your solar power system and help you to set up the proper monitoring and maintenance systems to ensure your system operates smoothly for years to come.

Here's what you can expect from the entire process:

  1. Initial consult and property visit
  2. Quote and proposal
  3. Solar system design
  4. Review and select hardware
  5. Create a project timetable
  6. Purchase hardware and equipment
  7. Submit construction permits
  8. Project construction
  9. Solar system is complete.

How much will my solar panels cost?

When you making use of a 26% federal tax credit and SMART solar incentives for ten years from the State of Massachusetts, your solar power system will pay for itself in four to seven years. Then up to and maybe beyond 25 more years, your solar power system will continue generating electricity.

Every home is unique and therefore all solar designs are unique as well. On average, a full installation of solar panels for home cost about $21,000 before any incentives.

Commercial Solar Guy has a great relationship with local banks, and they are happy to work with our residential solar customers on solar loans.

What our customers say:

Going green CAN save green, but it’s a minefield that we need people like John to help us navigate. I can’t thank him enough for thinking this through with me.

James Hammons Jr.
home owner, Texas

Everyone knows the environmental benefits of going green, but John taught us the financial benefits of a commercial solar installation. We’re combining solar power, batteries, and car chargers. It’s a complex project, with multiple moving parts. John said his advice was more peace of mind than anything else, and in the end he was right.

Yorba Linda,
California business owner, System – 57kW Solar plus 20/40kWh Energy Storage

I feel like the decision we made – reaching out to John after reading about him online – was the right decision. We’re expecting to earn six figures in the first year, and for twenty years from our roof, because of solar power.

Seamus Woods
Business Owner, Secure Storage, Brewster

If you’re considering solar power I highly recommend consulting with John Weaver. His knowledge and expertise are invaluable.

Kelly Mac
Interior Plantscape Designer, Kelly Mac Interiorscapes

John’s deep Solar Market knowledge, developer insight, and most importantly his cost-saving and cost-effective consulting, has helped us tremendously in framing our understanding of a company we are charged with vetting for Investment.  I highly recommend commercial companies to engage John as an intelligent and cost-effective protective-measure when vetting commercial and utility-scale solar proposals and projects.

Principal Analyst , Handley & Co.

Why work with Commercial Solar Guy?

Our team has built large and small solar projects, both for local business and for the family next door. We are an independent and privately run company, meaning we don't work with any one brand. We will always recommend the best hardware and design for your unique situation based on our industry research and past experiences.

Our installation crew is on the roof everyday, experienced, and focused. We’re located on the South Coast of Massachusetts, and we only work locally. This means we can complete a site visit, design, and quote in days-- not weeks. Learn more about our qualifications here.
