Wind power is still the largest source of renewable electricity in the US, but solar did just pass it on a global level. Seeing wind grow so aggressively is great though – wind is cheap, it’s heavier in the winter, it complements solar and it gets the job done.

The number of contracts signed for wind power projects hit a record of 3,500 MW in Q1 2018.
